Barbara, Elizabeth and Jennifer are Year 5 students at Wellington School in the south of England. They study subjects like English, Maths, History, Geography, ICT, Art and Music. There are also three hours of PE every week and students can choose sports from football, basketball, tennis to hockey. The school has got a lot of after-school clubs and students can join two or three of them and do their different favourite activities. All the students think that the clubs help them develop their own interests and hobbies. The school is planning to start two more clubs - Technolgy and Horse-riding Clubs - next year. "I like doing artistic things, so I'm in the Art Club. I can draw, paint, take photos or make masks and sculptures. I'm in Drama Club, too. I like acting and films are my favourite thing!" Barbara says. Elizabeth says, "If you are interested in cooking like me, cookery club is just for you! You can cook pasta or make delicious pizza and then you can eat your food! But my favourite club is gymnastic club. I can keep fit and have great fun at the same time!" 1 want to learn chess but I can't understand the rules, so I'm here in the chess club. I just play it for fun, but my friends enter chess competitions and they are really successful. And I'm happy to be in the Science Club because doing experiments is fantastic!" Jennifer says.
