The popular and traditional Russian game Chizhik is played with two wooden sticks, one short, sharpened stick and one long stick. A line and a circle is drawn on the ground before the game begins. One player uses the long stick to hit the ball and the other player tries to catch it. If the other player fails to catch the ball he has to pick it up from the ground and throw it back into the circle drawn on the ground.
