I’ve got a pet tarantula. Her name is Tickles, because she’s very hairy and she tickles your hand when you hold her! She’s two years old. She’s got very long legs and a lot of eyes. Her legs are a lighter colour than her body.
Tickles lives in a tank in my bedroom. Her tank is smaller than my dad’s fish tank and it hasn’t got any water in it. She doesn’t eat every day so I give her crickets and flies three times a week. She doesn’t need a lot of exercise. She likes climbing around her tank, and sleeping.
I don’t think spiders are scary. I think they are amazing. My mum thinks Tickles is interesting but she doesn’t want to touch her. My dad never holds Tickles because he thinks she is horrible!
I think Tickles is the best pet in the world.
